More Tips and Tricks

Transportation 

One way to become more eco friendly is to travel consciously. Therefore when ever possible try to walk or bike to your location instead of drive. When you have to drive try to carpool whenever possible. If you are ever looking for a new car consider getting an electric or hybrid.

POLITICALLY AND SOCIALLY

Make sure to vote and be aware of each candidates climate change policy. It's important to vote for people who believe in climate action. It's important to stay up to date on what's happening and inform those around you.

Limit your use of plastic 

Make sure to limit your use of plastic by brining a reusable water bottle, using containers or reusable bags, bring your own shopping bags, and buy in bulk.

Buying Items Second Hand 

When buying clothing or furniture try to buy reusable items whenever possible. Try going to local thrift shops, vintage shops, or Facebook market place. There are a lot of great local places to buy items second hand. When you are done with an item give it to a theft store instead of throwing it away so others can use it.

Recycle 

Recycle when ever possible, Reuse items when ever you can, and Reduce the items you use.

Save Water 

When ever possible make sure to save water! One way to do this is by turning off the water when you are burhsingyour teeth and when you are showering and not rinsing off. Try to "wait" to flush the toilet and wait to wash your clothes until it's a full load. It's also completely normal to rewear clothes a few times before washing them.

Compost

Make sure to compost old food scraps and compostable materials. composting is a great way to recycle food scraps and keep them out of landfills. Composting is also great for your garden.
